Description

The Pre-Sales Consultant will work with the sales team, providing functional and technical support throughout the sales process: qualification, discovery, solution configuration, in-depth software demonstrations, proposals, knowledge transfer to the operations team.

The candidate should have excellent presentation skills, and an ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of customers' business processes, challenges and issues allowing the candidate to act as the subject matter expert during the sales cycle, leveraging Oracle ERP Cloud / JD Edwards etc.to propose added-value solutions to our prospects and customers.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted advisor during the sales cycle
  • Handle RFI and RFP queries, in coordination with other team members
  • Coordinate closely with sales, business analyst and service resources to align solution design with customers' business requirements, providing and demonstrating
    value-added solutions to our customers
  • Highlight the benefits and advantages of the proposed solution e.g. Oracle ERP Cloud / JD Edwards etc. in a specific context or business
  • Prepare/contribute to proposals and project estimations
  • Transfer the knowledge of the customer and the solution to the project team at the end of the sales cycle
  • Responsible for and own the pre-sales activity in both UK and Irish markets. The candidate will be required to travel for short periods on a regular basis: demonstrations are usually delivered at the customer site.
  • Keep up-to-date with new functionality and product releases.

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in pre-sales supporting the sales cycle for ERP packages (preferably Oracle e-Business Suite or JD Edwards)
  • Successful track record of delivery or presales for ERP product or solution
  • Strong software configuration and problem-solving skills         
  • Experience in Finance and/or Supply Chain Management required (preferably both)
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships/engagement across all organisation levels and functions
  • Previous experience as implementation consultant is a plus
