In this series, we introduce you to some of the people who make Redfaire what it is.

Currently studying Criminal Justice at the University of Limerick, Luke is completing his internship at Redfaire, working with the back office team to ensure that all operations run smoothly.  

So, what made you choose Redfaire for your Internship?

Having previously worked in a front-line customer-service role, I wanted a new challenge where I could get an understanding of the back-office operations of a services company. Redfaire ticked all the boxes, both as a company and in terms of the role. 

What is your role within the company?

I am part of the back-office team which looks after billing and resource planning. This is an important role where communication is key. You also have to be really organised and have strong attention to detail. I really enjoy the role. I have learned lots.

What does your typical day look like?

My typical day involves a wide variety of tasks, communicating with consultants, project managers and the Finance team and also undertaking some basic admin work. 

What is your favourite thing about your job?

My favourite thing about my job is probably the people that I work with. There is a great team spirit at Redfaire. I believe that is one of the most important things that I will remember when looking back on my time here.

Tell us more?

Personally, I enjoy most sports such as rugby, soccer, hurling, and F1. Although I don't play any sports on a serious level, I do what I can to stay fit and healthy by jogging and exercising. 

Other hobbies include having a deep interest in movies, which would definitely be my go-to topic in a pub quiz!
