Extending its commitment to powering the world’s most modern enterprise applications, Oracle is announcing enhancements for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Applications, Rental Management, and applications that leverage Oracle’s Database In-Memory.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Applications

With this release, Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Enterprise Applications continues to empower the mobile workforce with new applications that accelerate business execution on their device of choice. This release brings the total number of Mobile Applications available for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to 81. Read the full list here

Also in this release, enhancements for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Mobile Framework, in conjunction with Oracle Mobile Application Framework, continue to simplify mobile application development, enabling developers to securely create and deliver a more customer-specific mobile experience. The following new features are supported:

• Leverage the latest features of Mobile Application Framework 2.0
• Allow for execution of multiple round trips to the same application without closing the application (simple application state)

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Rental Management

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Rental Management provides strategic visibility into inventory and equipment availability and supports high levels of customer service while effectively managing revenue and expenses for each rental contract. The new features in this release:

• Automate the return and billing of partial returns to simplify the process when rental customers return some items or equipment early Provide visibility into all historical contract transactions through the rental contract history ledger
• Support fixed or variable currency exchange rates for contract billing 
• Support linking services, sales and procurement items to an existing rental contract 
• Automate period end process for unrealized revenue 
• Automate the rental contract close process after items are received, serviced, and returned to inventory

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Real-Time Grid Summarization

Real-Time Grid Summarization enables users to click on specific grid columns for which data will be totaled and summarized in new easy-to-view formats. Previously, users were required to navigate to the bottom of the grid to find totals, a process that is time-consuming and is likely to cause system time-out with a very large numbers of grid rows. With real-time summarization, users have immediate access to critical totals. The return of totals in milliseconds to seconds rather than minutes to hours results in better real-time decision making and shortens the time to complete key business processes such as closing financial
books and forecasting.
Real-Time Summarization is available for the following applications:

• Customer Ledger Inquiry
• Account Ledger Inquiry
• Account Ledger by Category Code
• Account Ledger by Object
• Supplier Ledger Inquiry
• Forecast Inquiry
• Customer Service Inquiry
• Purchase Order Inquiry

This capability requires JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Release 9.1.5 or above.

Other Application Enhancements

• To ensure that JD Edwards customers remain compliant with US Government requirements, 1099 updates are available for EnterpriseOne 9.1, 9.0, 8.12, and Xe/ERP 8.0 releases. Updates are also available for and World A9.2.1, A8.1, and A7.3 releases. 
• To stay compliant with Canadian regulations, the Statement of Contract Payments has been modified.
• In response to the Affordable Care Act Employer Shared Responsibility provisions, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and World enhancements will assist in defining which employees are full-time for purposes of the Affordable Care Act and therefore eligible to receive health coverage.
• The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 503) and the Vietnam Era Veterans’Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) require applicants and employees to voluntarily self-identify as an individual with a disability and protected veteran status.JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and World enhancements will support this identification.
• Enhancements to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne allow customers to meet the India Federal Budget 2014-2015 amendment to Cenvat Credit.

Platform Product Certifications support:

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with Vertex 5.0
• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Java-based components, such as HTML Server and
• Application Integration Services Server, running on Oracle WebLogic Server 12.1.3.
• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with Oracle Solaris 11.2.
