Tell us about yourself
I have been based in Limerick City for nearly four years now. Before that, I travelled for three years seeing some beautiful countries in Asia and got to travel and live in both Australia and New Zealand. Upon returning to Ireland, I decided I wanted to return to education and re-skill so I could start a career in tech.

In January 2020 I was accepted into the National College of Ireland to attend their Level 8 Higher diploma in Software Development course. The course was online and part time for 1.5 years which meant I could continue to work while studying.

What is your role at Redfaire?
I work on the Global Support team. I help JD Edwards clients from all over the world to resolve issues and ensure that JDE is running efficiently and smoothly. 

Tell us about your career at Redfaire
There are great career opportunities in Redfaire. There is a clear career path made for you when starting with the company. I joined the Global Support team as a graduate in July 2021. I started off as a Junior Consultant and after one year of working on client tickets and troubleshooting issues with the support of a mentor I progressed to an Associate Consultant. I also have had the opportunity to go on a 12-week secondment in Professional Services to work on client projects.

Can you share some tips about working remotely? 
Don’t be afraid to ask for support when you need it. Your team is still there even if you cannot see them directly.

Tell us about an achievement that you are proud of? 
An achievement I am proud of is back in September 2012 I got to volunteer in an orphanage in Tanzania, Africa for three months. The orphanage was home to over 50 children at the time. This was part of my third-year college placement. Part of this placement was to fundraise for the orphanage before arriving. Over the summer of 2012 I raised €4500 with the help of my family and friends by running different events such as wax and head shave night, pub quiz, cake sale and a raffle.
