Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Originally from Poland, I moved to Ireland in 2008. When I first arrived, I worked in retail, both as a sales assistant and in the back office, but I had always been interested in computers and seemed to have a knack for IT, so with the support and encouragement of my partner, I decided to return to university as a mature student to study Business Computing.

How did you get started working with Oracle ERP?
I met the Redfaire team at a university recruitment fair. I was familiar with ERP having used ERP software in my previous jobs, but I was new to JD Edwards. What I like about JD Edwards is that I get to combine my technical and business knowledge. I really enjoy understanding what the business needs and then finding the best way to use the ERP software to make a process as efficient as possible.

What is your role?
I work in a support role for our customers based in the Benelux. I help JD Edwards customers and in particular those using the Commodity Trading module developed by our Redfaire International partner Cadran Consultancy. I am always learning new things and I really enjoy the challenge. The Commodity Trading Module means I have to know a lot about Distribution, but I also get to extend my knowledge of JD Edwards Finance modules. 

What does your typical day look like?
In a word, busy! I am never bored; every day is different. The Commodity Trading Sector is diverse, and each customer needs a slightly different solution. I really enjoy working in partnership with our clients to find the best solution for their business.

What is your favourite thing about your job?
I enjoy working together with my teammates and clients to solve problems. Finding solutions to tricky problems requires patience and resilience. My team is always there to support me, and this has been crucial to helping me grow and develop my skills and confidence.

I love exploring new places. We pack a picnic, hop in the car and off we go! I am lucky enough to be a mom to a three-year-old, so every day is in some ways an adventure! When I do manage to find some free time, I like nothing better than a good book, especially before bed.
