We want to take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the great women working at Redfaire International. Meet Racha Mennad who joined Redfaire in 2021, Racha works on the HR team.
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I joined Redfaire in June 2021 as a HR Specialist and have been really enjoying my time so far! I completed a Bachelor of Business Studies in HRM and French at the University of Limerick (in Ireland) and I am currently studying part-time in the area of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Limerick has been my home for the last 6 years and I’m delighted to work for a city centre headquartered company.
How did you get started working with Oracle ERP?
To be honest, it was only when I joined Redfaire that I learned about the world of JD Edwards and Oralce ERP. However, since joining Redfaire, I have learned a lot from my colleagues. What is exciting about working in a technology company is that there is always so much to learn as the technology continues to evolve.
As part of our Graduate Recruitment programme, we will be running a number of training sessions and I plan to attend so I can deepen my knowledge of Oracle ERP. This will be of great assistance to me in understanding what the day-to-day tasks of the team are and also from a recruitment point of view.
What is your role?
I am a HR Specialist at Redfaire. I am a part of a small (but very busy) team of two. My typical week includes a lot of recruitment coordination, induction, and onboarding, helping the team with our HR system, and answering any day-to-day queries that the team may have. My role is really varied, so I am definitely forgetting something, but those are the main functions of my role.
What does your typical day look like?
At the moment, recruitment and onboarding is a key focus for me. I really enjoy onboarding new colleagues and ensuring that they have everything they need to be successful in their role. New starters hear a lot from me in their first few weeks and I am always happy to provide that support. I am also working on the Graduate Recruitment Programme for Redfaire UK & Ireland. I really enjoy the fact that I get to work with people at all stages in their career.
This summer we are organising a get-together for all our team. Obviously, it will be the first time in a long time that we will all get to meet each other in person. There is a lot of work involved but it is a great project to be part of.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
The diversity of the Redfaire team! I really enjoy getting to know my teammates, I learn something new every day, people always have such interesting stories and backgrounds.
Even though the team is growing quickly, and people are based all over the world, the culture at Redfaire means that you still have the feeling that you are very much part of a community. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone in person this summer.
Another thing I really like is helping new hires with their visas and relocating to Ireland. It is a privilege to be a part of someone’s journey as they start a new role and a new life in Ireland!
Tell us More?
I am passionate about all things Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion which would explain the diverse team being my favourite thing. This is an area of continued focus for Redfaire, and I am delighted to be part of this important project.
